Seneca Nunn

"Cowgirls Rule" reads the sign in Seneca Rautenberg-Nunn's home office. From this office, for the past 16 years, Seneca has been running a very successful pet sitting business, Nunn Better! Pet Care. With 1,400 active clients strong and growing backed by over 20 dedicated trained, home and pet care takers, Nunn Better! Pet Care is the go-to service while you are away for the day, week or longer.

Her relentless energy keeps her moving forward with very high expectations for herself and those who work with her. Seneca is EAMT (Emergency Animal Medical Technician) first aid certified. She is accessible 24 hours, seven days a week to her clients, staff and friends, and is never too busy to offer advice on a pets' behavioral issues. She is someone who is sympathetic about an aging pet, a capable aide with your diabetic cat needing daily insulin injections or sub-cutaneous fluids, and is always available to chat about how to preserve or improve the quality of life for the animals that are an integral part of your family. Her personal pet family includes five horses, two burros, two dogs, three cats and various turtles.

A native of Yuma, Seneca has been an accomplished equine rider since the age of 5, becoming an award-winning competitor in cutting horse competitions and 10-time champion in showing Quarter Horses, both English and Western.

Seneca graduated from the University of Arizona (U of A) with a B.S. in Animal Sciences, and from there successfully founded her own pet sitting business. In 2007, Seneca was recognized by the U of A College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with their Early Achiever Award. Seneca has combined her wide range of skills and experience in both animal care and business to head up Tucson's leading pet care company.

Seneca was selected by Rotary International as a Foreign Exchange Student and studied for a year in Brussels, Belgium. This was followed by a semester aboard ship on a University of Pittsburgh program that took her 'Around the World in 90 Days.' She has since trekked across Tibet with her mom and navigated the Panama Canal with both mom and grandmother.

Whether mucking out stalls, dog walking, giving riding lessons, training her staff, or actively serving her community as Vice Chair of Gabriel's Angels of Southern Arizona, (where she was chair of the 2016 Unleash the Love Event), and Member of the Catalina Rotary Club, Seneca proves that Cowgirls DO rule! And when talking about Seneca Nunn and the team of pet sitters at Nunn Better! Pet Care......there is simply, Nunn Better!
