• Feeding: Give pre-measured portions of appropriate food once or twice daily; avoid overfeeding, which harms water quality.
• Water Quality: Check temperature and chemical balance (pH, ammonia, nitrite) to prevent stress or illness.
• Equipment Check: Ensure filters are running, heaters are working, and air stones are bubbling.
• Fish Health Observation: Watch for signs of sickness like lethargy, gasping at the surface, clamped fins, or spots, and note normal behavior like cruising or rooting.
• Tank Maintenance: Clean algae off glass and ensure filter media is functioning.
